About
My name is Marty Schmidt and I’m the lead pastor at thebridge. In 2002 I married my love Jenny. We are blessed to have three crazy awesome kids (Toby, Lydia, and Blythe) who make us smile all the time.
I’m a big fan of coffee and coke just not in the same glass. I’m a twins, bengals, and gophers fan and spend most of my sports energy cheering on my fantasy football team. I use to play soccer but prefer basketball these days. I love reading about the revolutionary war and if you ask me Benedict Arnold won the war for the colonies.
I love my family, love my job, and love what God has called met to be a part of.
I am a dreamer! I don’t want to settle. I want to engage life and life to the fullest. I don’t want to compromise what could be because it might be risky. I’d rather adventure into the unknown that God has called me into then sit on the sidelines and coast through life.
Thought of you when I read about this conference. I honestly know little about it other than it’s for church plant pastors in towns under 50,000 people. It’s next week, so probably not possible in your schedule, but thought it might have some resources for you. Maybe you already know about it, maybe it’s not worth the time, but you can check it out for yourself….

great ‘about me’ update… we’ve been married just as long… I don’t know how you managed to have so many more kids than me!
